Mark Mule’ received his BA in Broadcast Radio & Television from the State University of NY at Oswego in 1985. His interest in this medium stemmed from his early childhood years when learning piano, and his involvement with local rock bands.
At age 12 Mark started learning how to film movies with a Bell & Howell 8mm movie camera purchased at a garage sale. He quickly learned how frame-by-frame filming could be used to create effects, and was soon splicing and editing his own animated movies.
While working in the electronics department of a popular retail outlet, Mark soon found himself being sought after by customers for his knowledge in troubleshooting, and passion for installing electronics.
At that time Mark decided to create a small business that would cater to the “Local Long Island Electronics Consumer”. Much like 800-FLOWERS, he wanted to create and promote a company that would be easy to remember. In September of 1995 Mark established Dial 516-INSTALL, Inc. which quickly became the “go-to phone number” for home audio/video installations. His slogan: Let Us Connect It, So You Can Enjoy It, still remains the focus of his mission.
